The original design utilised a combination of self tapping 45 degree thread with a tri-lobular thread shape.

In an effort to reduce material displacement and avoid fracturing, Hi-low dual threads aimed to improve assembly performance and pull out strength.

The latest high tech thread returns to a traditional round thread but with an extra sharp deep thread and reduced core. The resulting 30 degree thread angle aims to cut in to the hardest materials with minimum displacement and maximum pull out strength.
